Iberanime LX 2011

I made this for the Poster Contest for the portuguese anime convention- Iberanime LX 2011.

The goal was to make a promotional poster for the following year (2012).
I decided to go with a bunch of made up typical anime heroes all based on otaku culture and tools. but I do admit I got a little inspiration from another artist for my theme Finally I added a background of tv's will silhouettes of many different REAL animes because I found the first version to be a bit too bare.

Unfortunately, this was pretty last minute but I was satisfied and even thought I did not win, I still one of the best in the poster category, which I did not expect at all.
I'm just sad this scan does not show all the silvers and golds I used to make it more interesting.

I used a multitude of watercolour pencils, 0.5mm black waterproof black gel pen and silver & gold wax pencils. No references were used.
